Life can be complex and challenging, yet also holds potential for joy and fulfilment. I provide a supportive, compassionate space focused on helping you make sense of difficult experiences, find growth, and expansion of creativity and performance.
My approach is holistic and includes the body, mind, spiritual or existential dimensions. My aim is to help you deepen your connection to yourself, increase authenticity and well-being.
I work with individuals and couples. My areas of focus include: anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationships, self-esteem, addiction, trauma and spirituality.
My therapy approach is trauma informed, using a combination of talk therapy, mindfulness, somatic, Brainspotting, art therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you get in touch with your own inner guide and healing. Together we can gently explore and peel the layers to deepen your self-understanding. We can also examine your values, meaning-making, and sense of purpose so that you can build an intentional, aligned life.
For couples, my approach is based in Emotionally Focused Therapy and is strongly attachment-informed. I support deepening understanding of oneself and each other, gaining a new perspective on your problems, repairing hurts, and building new, positive ways of connecting.
Previously, I completed a PhD in neuroscience studies in the field of mental health, including a brain imaging treatment study for individuals with depression. I integrate neuroscience knowledge with psychotherapy to promote change and transformation.
On a personal note, I enjoy creating art, viewing it as a versatile process that can be a venue for exploration, expression, discovery, healing, spirituality, aesthetics, and play. I have co-facilitated a community wellness art studio, providing a safe, inclusive environment for de-stressing, exploring, and connecting with self and other community members. Art-based activities can be incorporated in virtual therapy as well, with no need for prior experience.
